Cool and contemporary with warm heart and authentic African soul, this intimate boutique hotel awaits in atranquil corner of Windhoek; the ideal base in Namibia’s capital
The Olive Exclusive – the first luxurious sanctuary of its kind in the Namibian capital – is cool, contemporary and chic with the warm heart and soul of Africa.
Its modern lines are so full of colour and texture that they take on a warm African character. Natural materials, some rough-hewn, further break up and hard lines and local art hangs everywhere, especially abstract Namibian landscapes by well-known South African photographer, Micky Hoyle.
Seven suites are all decorated differently to reflect the regions of Namibia. Each has its own lounge with fireplace and dining room. Wide glass doors open onto spacious decks where one can relax on the shady daybed, enjoy al fresco lunches or take a dip in the plunge pool. Creature comforts abound from the fine linen to airconditioning and HD satellite TV, iPod docks and WiFi.
Olive Exclusive has a great restaurant featuring a seasonal menu, with inventive dishes, following a tradition of fine cuisine for which Windhoek is fast becoming famous. The Olive Bar is a very comfortable little watering hole and has a good selection of fine whiskys. Olive Exclusive is a destination in itself and well worth a night in town.
